Thursday, October 11 | 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. | Harrah's Reno | RSVP | Buy Tickets
“What is the difference between a blog and a wiki? What is a wiki? What is social networking? I thought MySpace was for my teenager. And speaking of… text message based advertising? Really? And, would someone please explain what the heck CMS, SEO, RSS, CGM and LMAO mean!?!?”
We feel your pain. And that’s why we’ve created a program with local experts to clear it all up, once and for all.
In the digital age, trends come and go; technology changes fast and like it or not, you have to be aggressive, nimble and smarter than your competition. Your clients look to you for advice on cutting-edge marketing techniques, and you better have answers.
Learn tips on how to use search, both organic and paid. Be a pro at online ads, media, deals, metrics, etc. Get your CGM (customer generated marketing) game in order. Connect your customers with RSS feeds. Understand how a next-generation website should look and act. Put CMS (content management systems) in the hands of your clients, start blogging, wiki-ing and mobiling all over the place.
What you don’t know today will hurt you tomorrow, so roll up your sleeves and get interactive, now. It’s all about reaching out and touching someone to get your business noticed using innovation and technology.

Our Panel
Stu D'Alessandro | Owner, Design Science | Stu is the owner of Design Science, a Reno-based Web and
Internet technology design firm. He has over 27 years experience in Web site development,
graphic design, software development, and 3D animation. As a senior engineer with ABC
Television in New York he spearheaded the invention of new Internet technologies to enable realtime
viewer interaction with live TV programs and commercials. It was here that he developed
expertise in another passion, graphics design. After moving to Nevada in 2002, Mr. D'Alessandro
was called upon to lead the technical management of CBS Television's launch of 17 'Always On'
Web sites for their local stations, providing a new model for the network to break news stories
and to monetize a new medium. This ambitious project required the creation of many unique
technologies, including an innovative realtime
newsroom video publishing system.
When he's not developing Web sites, Stu designs control systems for theatrical pyrotechnic
effects, backpacks, and enjoys photography. He graduated with a BS in Electrical Engineering
from Fairleigh-Dickinson
University.
