Global Studio in Reno is in need of a fulltime PHP/ASP Web Developer with 3+ years experience to work in-office. We're looking for a programmer who is gifted, detail-oriented, able to multi-task and who is able to handle tight deadlines and productivity requirements.
Our specific needs include a solid understanding and experience in developing PHP and ASP based websites, MySQL and MSSQL database development, for open-source applications. Ajax/Javascript and CSS/Design knowledge are a plus. The ability to work well with clients is a must.

Requirements
- Previous production experience preferably as a Director or Production Manager
- College degree preferred
- Hands-on knowledge of television broadcasting production equipment; especially
Digital and/or high definition
- Ability to work with ideas from conception to the final product

- Ability to work under pressures of deadlines
- Possess a clean driving record and pass a pre-employment drug test

- Responsible for “On Air” switching of video and audio
- Sustain quality video and audio signals at proper levels
- Maintain accurate programming and transmitter logs, and report abnormal deviations
- Responsible for proper transmitter control
- Record multiple satellite feeds, tape duplication and tape transfer
- Perform other tasks related to the position as assigned
Requirements
- 2 years experience, FCC license or SBE operator certification preferred
- Strong computer skills and multi taking required
- Hands-on experience in the operation of equipment normally encountered in a television station, including High Definition computer function/operation, video and audio control boards, VTR machines (1” and ½”), character generators, etc.
- Able to communicate clearly in speech and writing
- Familiar with television terminology and capable of performing correctly with split second precision, even under stressful conditions
- Ability to carry heavy equipment if necessary
- Pass a pre-employment drug test

- Supervise reporters, photographers, videotape editors, and interns
- Understand and implement the news philosophy of the news director
- Field produce and edit news stories for reporters and newscast anchors
- Make news judgments on coverage and presentation of the day's news events
- Make contacts and gather information about news issues/events in northern Nevada and the west
- Review and edit scripts written by other staff members
- Work with reporters, assignment editors, and photographers to make sure KRNV completely, accurately, and fairly covers news events
- Establish a good working relationship with the newscast director and the production crew to ensure a well-paced, clean newscast
- Assist in long range planning for the news department
- Write interesting news stories from wire copy, field reports, and telephone interviews
- Perform other tasks related to the position as assigned
Requirements
- Passion for news and creative thinker with great writing skills
- Minimum two year’s experience as a television news producer, associate producer, or writer
- Familiarity with ENG and SNG
- Ability to meet daily deadlines and work cooperatively with other staff members
- Experience editing news copy and videotape
- Booth producing skills a must
- Newsroom computer experience preferred (INEWS for Windows)
- Good phone etiquette
- Pass pre-employment drug test
