Taco Bell Marketing Executive to Speak on Branding at Advertising PowerLunch

RENO, Nev. — Taco Bell’s Vice-President of Brand Marketing, Chris Miller, will speak at the Advertising Association of Northern Nevada’s (A2N2) First Thursday PowerLunch, April 5 at Harrah’s Reno. Miller’s presentation, titled “Spicing Up a Bland Brand,” will offer a unique look at advertising and branding from a client’s perspective, stressing a balance between creativity and sales.
Miller started with Taco Bell in 1996 as the national advertising manager, managing the development of all national and test advertising, include the highly recognized, award-winning Chihuahua campaign. He moved to product marketing in November 1997 and directed several successful menu launches, including the re-launch of the Enchirito; and the launch of the Grilled Stuft Burrito, Quesadilla and Border Bowl lines. He was appointed Senior Director of Menu Strategy and Multibrand Marketing in 2003 and was promoted to his current position in December 2005, where he leads the development and execution of the national marketing calendar, menu strategy and new product pipeline and multibrand marketing plans.
Prior to joining Taco Bell, Miller was Account Supervisor at Young & Rubicam (Y&R) San Francisco. His clients at Y&R included several Clorox Company home cleaning products, insecticide and food brands - Golden Grain, Xerox and Novell. He resides in Huntington Beach, Calif. with his wife and two boys.
The cost for the luncheon is $20 for members/students and $25 for non-members.
